The fundamental design concept of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Roi Et Campus in Thung Kula Rong Hai was inspired by traditional Northeastern rice barns, which are elevated 1–2 meters above the ground. The building features a rectangular shape, similar to these barns, and incorporates comparable materials. The designer aimed to use locally sourced materials to reflect the region's architectural heritage, emphasizing the unique identity of Thung Kula Rong Hai.
